Summary: This is the second book in the dark is rising series. This book outlines the happening of Will Stanton who at the age of 11 discovers that he belongs to an ancient group of people who safeguard the safety of people. The story is a quest that allows Will to discover his powers and to strengthen the position of the Light.

Recommendation: This continuation explains what the old ones are and why they have a place to play in the drama of the rising dark. It is full of intrigue and suspense that holds the reader spell bound to the conclusion.

Summary: Will Stanton is the 7th son of a 7th son, and on this eleventh birthday finds out that he is also one of the special Old Ones, guardians of the Light and protector of humanity against the Dark. Immediately, he find that he must embark on a quest to find the great signs and stop the Dark's rising.

Recommendation: Cooper creates a really interesting, imaginative, more world based on Arthurian and other English legends. A great young Adult book, and a Newbery Honor book.

Summary: Will Stanton's 11th birthday brought on more than just cake and presents. He finds out that he's one of the Old Ones and has a task to do. If he doesn't complete this task, the Dark will win over the Light. He does tons f stuff, like traveling through time and revealing the true identity of the Walker. With the help of other Old Ones, Will tries to complete his task and goes through some pretty tough stuff.

Recommendation: I'd probably recommend this book. It's a great plot line and it gives you more information on Over Sea Under Stone. It's goes a bit slow though.
