Title: The Afghan Campaign
Author: Steven Pressfield
Summary: This book covers Alexander the Greats campaigning in Afghanistan, which
was never a win but rather a draw set up to allow everyone to safe face. The
biggest problem he had and why he never won the war outright, guerrilla war
fare and terrorist tactics. Some things never change.
Recommendation: I am not a person who enjoys military history etc. but this is
written in novel form and it was very digestible and very fascinating.
Unbelievable how much has not changed. Weapons have but little else is
different. All generals making decisions regarding Afghanistan ought to be
forced to read the book.
