Summary: This book is a collection of essays that range from the Christmas bombing of Hanoi to Roosevelt in WWII. Although he comes from a historical perspective, he offers a lot of his own opinions on the events he covers.

Recommendation: I would recommend this book. I loved Ambrose's viewpoints on the war's many events. I felt he was fair in his judgments. This book is not by favorite of Ambrose's, but it is nonetheless very worth reading.
