Title: Blue Heaven
Author: C.J. Box
Summary: Two Idaho children witness an execution killing while out fishing and are soon on the run from the killers. Unfortunately, the killers know who they are and who their mother is. As ex-cops, they also lend their experience and expertise in the search for the children to try to find them before anyone else does. They can't go home, and they don't know who to trust as they try to survive with killers on their heels.
Recommendation: Yes, definitely. The book had a lot of action, even if the ending was a bit predictable in some ways. Given that it's about a killing, the book is surprisingly low on graphic content. It keeps you wanting to read to find out what's going on all the way to the end. Even if I wish the author had ended the book differently, it was a thrill ride. I was also impressed by his portrayal of the anger of those who can't justify other peoples bad actions but find a "reason" to excuse their own.
