Summary: This book is about a servant girl, Sybil, and how her master is trying to live forever. It takes place in Medieval times where sorcery is illegal, but men are trying to make gold with alchemy. Sybil finds herself with her master dying, and he tells her she needs to find a green eyed person to read the book without words so that he won't die. Sybil and Odo the talking crow, find themselves in a lot of trouble when multiple people are trying to find the secret of the book, and how to make gold while trying to stay alive themselves in the process.

Recommendation: I didn't like this book that much. It kind of read like a mystery where you don't really know who is bad and who is good. It was almost comical at times, but I'm not sure it was supposed to be.
