Title: The Boy Who Dared
Author: Susan Campbell Bartoletti
Summary: This is the beautiful story of Helmuth. Helmuth is one of the Hitler's Youth. He appears to be complying but underneath he is boiling with a desire for real truth. He doesn't like what he sees. This is the story told through flashbacks as he is in prison.
Recommendation: I would definitely recommend this book. This book gave me a great desire to stand up for truth. It also made me want to be a little kinder, and nicer to everyone no matter gender, age, or race. It made me search inside in wonder if I'd be strong enough to stand up for what I believe in even if death were the reward for doing so.
