Summary: This one involves a imprisoned Washington lobbyist who possesses important secrets wanted by several governments. A presidential pardon is manufactured for him by the CIA to get him into the open so they can hopefully find out which of the foreign governments succeeds in having him killed.

Recommendation: I have now read all of Grisham's intrigues; actually, I
listened to the audio version this time. It is as good as the others, and better than some. He holds the readers' interest to the last word. This is really the penultimate one, but since there is no continuity in the collection, they can be read in any order.
