Summary: This is the fourth in the Bernie Rhodenbarr series. Bernie is a burglar. In the course of his criminal activities, he inevitably encounters a murder, in which he becomes a prime suspect. In order to clear himself of that crime he is forced to solve the mystery.

Recommendation: Because the character of Bernie evolves, it is more interesting to read these in order of publication. I listened to the audio-book version, but these are enjoyable either by eye or ear. There are other authors and other series that I prefer to this one, but anyone who likes mysteries will like these. The unusual background of the main character makes these somewhat unique.
