The Cat Who Played Brahms

Title: The Cat Who Played Brahms

Author: Lilian Jackson Braun

Summary: Jim Qwilleran is a reporter and part-time amateur detective. At this point, he travels north to Moose county at the invitation of his deceased mother's eccentric and rich best friend 'Aunt Fanny'. Qwill is looking for peace and quiet, and the chance to perhaps, maybe, sort of start writing a book, but not everything is peaceful in Mooseville, and it isn't just the mosquitoes that are blood-thirsty.

Recommendation: I would recommend this book to those looking for a light read and a relaxing who-done-it. My aunt has read these books for years, and I never picked them up, but I just recently started, and now I want to read them all. Mrs. Braun does a wonderful job with her secondary characters, and it becomes more and more fun to try to guess the 'clue' that the cat Koko has pointed out.
