Catch-22

Author: Joseph Heller

Summary: This book is a satire set during the later stages of World War II from 1943 onwards, is frequently cited as one of the great literary works of the Twentieth century (and yes, it was banned at one time).

The book is brilliantly written, each chapter name is the name of a character in the story. Each chapter tells the same story, but from a different point of view, so you find out more information (the new information often completing a joke, or setup, the punchline of which was told before).

Recommendation: This is one of my favorite books. I love the style, the story and the message. However, this is not a G rated book. It is narrated by an air force pilot, so the language is quite bad, and there are several adult scenes. The book also discussed adult topics.
