Catering to Nobody

Title: Catering to Nobody

Author: Diane Mott Davidson

Summary: When her former father-in-law is poisoned at an event she catered, Goldy Bear (yes, that's her real name) seeks to clear her name. Her investigation takes a few puzzling turns, and her abusive ex-husband does her no favors as he loudly decries her as guilty all over town.

Recommendation: This is a fun read and the beginning of an enjoyable series. There are a lot of characters to follow, but for the most part, they are unique and memorable enough to keep things straight. I enjoyed the recipes scattered throughout the book as well. It's probably not my favorite example of the recipe-mystery genre (I prefer Joanne Fluke's Hannah Swensen series), but these
are interesting and worth reading.
