The Decoding of Lana Morris

Summary: Lana is a foster kid who lives in a home with five other foster kids, all of whom are Special Needs Kids (or Snicks). She visits a nearby town and buys an old drawing set, and the pictures she draws with it begin to come true, only not in the ways that she imagines. Things spin out of control and Lana has to figure out how to make things right, not only for herself but also for the Snicks.

Recommendation: Yes. It's a good book about friendship. It's also a good story of finding more in yourself and in others than you knew was there.
