Desert Crossing

Summary: Lucy (15) is driving across the country with her older brother Jamie (18) and his friend Kit. They hit something late one night and then they go back they find a dead lady. They discover that it wasn't her they hit but Lucy is obsessed with finding out who she is and what happened to her. They are staying with an older lady they just met and Jamie seems to be developing feelings for her which disturbs Lucy. Though Lucy has always hated Kit she finds herself thinking things about him she never thought possible.

Recommendation: I thought it was a good book. It kept me intrigued and the relationships among all the characters are strange and yet, you could see it happening. It's mostly about Lucy. The Jamie/Beth relationship is a little icky to me and I would only let mature teenagers read this. The writing style is teen, but I would say the content is definitely more young adult/adult
