Summary: Dragons of Winter Night continues the story of Tanis Half-Elven and his companions and their fight against the evil Dragonarmies of the Dark Queen, begun in Dragons of the Autumn Twilight. In this volume the companions are separated, facing separate dangers, some never to meet again.

Recommendation: Dragons of Winter Night, as the second book of the Dragonlance Chronicles, should probably be read in sequence with the previous volume. In it the characters face new challenges, forcing them to grow and develop, making them more realistic. I enjoyed reading it, and look forward to the final book in the trilogy.
