Summary: This book is about the Indians from the West Indies. It presents the life of a few Indians, their hardships, their feelings, the way they interact as friends and lovers and the things that they do to have a better life. In this book we see the effects of migration on families and the challenges that immigrants face when they move into a foreign country. We also learn about the hardships that black people face in a white people's worlds.

Recommendation: Yes. It is depressing at times because of the feelings that the personages have and their stories but it's a nice story. It also teaches about the life in the West Indies, which I wasn't familiar with before I read the book and now I got to learn more and appreciate the people who live there more.
