Title: Freakonomics
Author: Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner
Summary: Freakonomics gives an economics perspective on some interesting and complex questions such as: Which is more dangerous, a gun or a swimming pool? What are the keys to perfect parenting or raising successful children? What was the root cause for the decline in crimes during the 90s? Ultimately, the book shows how many questions may have many potential correlations, but sometime the true answer does not follow conventional wisdom.
Recommendation: This was a well written book and enjoyable to read. There are some instances of language and some of the material could be construed as offensive, but it is still a good take on modern society, pointing out the problems with conventional wisdom.
