Title: The Freedom Factor
Author: Gerald N. Lund
Summary: Bryce Sherwood is an up and coming aide senior senator's aide working on a new amendment to the Constitution. The Founding Fathers send Nathaniel Gorham to try to convince Bryce that he cannot continue to work for passage of the amendment, but Bryce will not be convinced. As Bryce ends up in a world where the Constitution was never ratified, he comes to see the wisdom of the Founding Fathers and some of the protections they put into the Constitution.
Recommendation: I read this book again after a number of years. I remember liking it more the first time than I did now. While the idea of how important the protections offered in the Constitution are, I felt like the book suffered a lot for being incredibly dated in how it handled the issues. It was still an enjoyable read, but I didn't like it as much as I remembered.
