High Stakes

Summary: Luke Calloway's family was murdered and he was left dying by those who wanted to steal his family's ranch. These outlaws who murdered his family acted under the order of a man who is prominent in the community. This man finds a way to blame Luke for crimes he didn't commit and Luke has to go on the run. As he's running, and trying to figure out a way to avenge his family, he meets Maddie Brannigan, a girl who was been abused and neglected by her father. As the story progresses, their lives come together and they deal with the issues of the past.

Recommendation: I enjoyed this book. It was written by an LDS author, but it isn't blatantly LDS. It was a sweet tale of good people and love.
