Title: I, Robot
Author: Isaac Asimov
Summary: Set in the future, this books explores a time when robots are introduced to the world, improved, and ultimately run the economic system of the whole earth. This novel tells of how the robots, even though they are governed by the Three Laws (not harming humans, obeying commands, and
self-preservation), remain unpredictable with their positronic, emotion-mimicking brains. The ultimate question is whether humans even matter anymore in a world calculated and governed by Machines.
Recommendation: I highly recommend it. My summary doesn't do the book justice. I found it compelling, intriguing, and well-written. Isaac Asimov tells this tale wonderfully and it sparked many ethical/moral questions about the nature of humanity and technology.

Title: I, Robot
Author: Howard S. Smith
Summary: This starts out as a political thriller about a coming war between Iran and Lebanon versus Israel. Then there's a Japanese police inspector investigating a murder. I never understood the connection between the two storylines.
Recommendation: Heck, no. This was confusing and not at all what I expected. I never even read about a robot! Not my type of book at all.
