I'll Find You

Title: I'll Find You

Author: Clair M. Poulson

Summary: When she was 5, Jeri Satch was playing outside with her friend Rusty. A man drove by and kidnapped Rusty. As Rusty was being taken away, Jeri yelled to him, "I'll find you!" Even though no one expects Jeri to keep this promise, she lets the trauma of this even and her promise effect every part of her life. She's always haunted by the memory of Rusty. Jeri finds Rusty in the most unlikely of places and discovers that his life has been full of abuse. Rusty
has become a part of a world very different from the LDS one Jeri grew up in. As their two worlds collide, they both become involved in an ordeal involving half a million dollars stolen from a bank, a serial killer, and discovering Rusty's past.

Recommendation: I would recommend this book. It kept me involved and interested to the last page. My only complaint about it would be that the way Jeri was affected by the trauma of her childhood seemed a little contrived. I don't doubt she would be affected negatively by the kidnapping of Rusty, but the long lasting effects seemed to be different ones than I would have
expected. Having never been through that experience, though, I suppose I can't really know how it would affect someone.
