Summary: It starts when three children are kidnapped by three aunts and taken to a magical island. When the children first get there they expect to be tortured and starved. What they don't expect is porridge, work, and they incredible creatures that they will find on this island.

Recommendation: Yes, I really enjoyed this book. There was adventure, a bit of love, some hate, a bad guy. Not gruesome at all though. Really good. Yu should all definitely read it.
