Title: Johnny Tremain: A Story of Boston in Revolt

Summary: Johnny Tremain is a gifted apprentice to a silversmith in Boston in 1773. Johnny is very conceited and proud of his work, but the other apprentices are jealous of him. Johnny has an unfortunate accident where hot silver burns his right hand and ruins his career as a silversmith. Johnny learns humility and gets involved with the famous patriots of the time as the Revolutionary war with England begins.
Recommendation: I really liked this book. It is a Newbery Award winning children's book. I loved the historical fiction and how Johnny was involved with all of the things that happened to our country during that time. Before I read the book, I thought it might be boring, but I was really surprised at how captivating and interesting the book was.
