The Last Juror

Title: The Last Juror

Author: John Grisham

Summary: This is the story of a small town in the south that is rocked by a murder. During the trial the defendant threatens the jury that if they convict him, he will kill them. Once he is released the revenge begins.

Recommendation: This is a pretty good Grisham book. It is told from the perspective of a young man from the north that comes to town and ends up as the owner of the newspaper. If you like Grisham's other work you will like this book.

Summary: A young college kid buys a local small town newspaper. His
experiences in the press take him into the hearts and gun-sites of the locals. A gruesome murder that he covers ends up haunting him and the town for many years to come.

Recommendation: Yes, mostly. It is a typical Grisham novel where most of the
book builds up the story. The ending, again typically Grisham, is short and
quick. I was left wondering if that could really be the end of the story.
Still, it was enjoyable.
