Summary: This is the last book in the series the passage of promise. this book continues the story of Elisabeth's son, his wife and children. The wife dies after giving birth to her third child and her last wish is that her husband remarries and she recommends an aquaintance that they knew in England who had come to visit. Along with the loss of his wife an enemy who had been put into prison had escaped and was after him and the woman who he was falling in love with.

Recommendation: This book kept you wondering what was going to be the next twist in the rollercoaster ride. It was set in a historical setting and gave insight into the life and struggles of that time period and the faithful lives of those who seek for guidance.
