Summary: Ed works at Reel Life Movies during the summer. He is constantly mocked for his uniform of a frilly white shirt, shiny black pants, a red cummerbund, and a red bow tie. Even after working for three weeks, Ed's boss still has not made him a nametag. Ed is stuck wearing a tag reading "Sergio." Ed and his best friend, Scout, like to make up stories about Sergio. One day, the girl of Ed's dreams walks into the store, and suddenly, Sergio comes alive.

Recommendation: Yes! I loved this book! It was hilarious. It was so crazy to watch all of the trouble that Ed gets into.

Summary: Ed is tired of being himself, a short guy with a boring job at a video store where the only perk is working with his friend Scout, a fun girl. Ed decides to transform into Sergio, a Brazilian, when Ellie, a girl he thinks would be out of Ed's league, shows up at the store. Quark, Ed's other best friend, falls for Scout, who has feelings for Ed. Ed has to figure out who he really is and what he really wants.

Recommendation: This is a good book about finding yourself. It's a fun
adaptation of A Midsummer Night's Dream. It might give too easy of a solution to what could be a complex problem, but it's a fun and easy read, with entertaining characters.

Summary: This is the story of Ed, Scout and Quark and their adventures during the summer. Ed works at a video store with a name tag that says "Sergio". He and Scout like to make up stories about who Sergio was. It turns into quite an adventure for Ed.

Recommendation: I like reading books by local authors and this one was great. I laughed out loud quite a few times. I would really recommend this to high school students who want a fun book to read. Perfect for summer reading!
