Much Obliged, Jeeves

Title: Much Obliged, Jeeves

Author: P.G. Wodehouse

Summary: Jeeves is called to visit his affable and lovable Aunt Dahila. One of Bertie's old chums, Ginger is visiting and running for election and Aunt Dahila wants Bertie to help out. Bertie is distressed to find out that Ginger is engaged to the demanding and slightly frightening Florence. Also visiting is the horrid Spodes who's only good quality is that he loves the peculiar Madeline Bassett and saved Bertie from having to marry the quack. Trouble is afoot, though when an unsavory butler by the name of Bingley has stolen the butler's journal from their club and is threatening to blackmail people with the contents inside. Jeeves is scandalized and on the case in all matters of blackmail and love. Bertie, as usual, manages to become entangled in the whole mess without really trying. Poor man.

Recommendation: I do enjoy these books, but only in small doses. They are very repetitive and it's sometimes hard to follow the British humor, though when you get it, it's usually hilarious. This one was pretty funny.
