Summary: This book is about a girl who lives on a remote island with her father. While her father is away she becomes friends with an adventure book author through email. Then when her dad doesn't return as expected, her friend Alex feels she needs to do something to help her.

Recommendation: Yes. It is a fun children's book. Is shows the strength of a little girl and how she can do great things. It also show the power of friends and the help that they can be.

Summary: Nim is alone on her island, or is she. She finds friendship and trust in the most unexpected places.

Recommendation: Yes. it is really good! It has a great storyline and way loveable characters.

Title: Nim’s Island

Summary: Nim & her father, Jack, live on a remote island where he can do his research. When Jack leaves on a short research trip, Nim finds herself alone. She begins a correspondence with an adventure writer whom has never left the city. Their correspondence leads to survival help for Nim as her father is shipwrecked and doesn't come home in time.

Recommendation: I enjoyed it. I haven't seen the movie and would like to now. I enjoyed the relationship between Nim & Alex. I thought it was brilliantly written and I felt I could be there with Nim.
