Once Upon a Time in the North

Summary: Lee Scoresby is new in the town of Novy Odense and gets into a bit of trouble when he helps Captain Van Breda get his cargo from a warehouse. To do this, he gets the help of an armored bear named Iorek Byrnison. Lee also encounters a murderer from when he had lived in Dakota.

Recommendation: Yes, I'd recommend this book. Especially to people who have read the series His Dark Materials by the same author. It gives you some history of Lee Scoresby and Iorek Byrnison from the Golden Compass as well as being a good story.
