Summary: Ken Follett has written a book based in the 1100's about building churches. It also touches on a lot of how times were with respect to kings and religious leaders, how they intersect, and what power one may have over the other. This is a long book, but is very detailed to almost draw the pictures in your head.

Recommendation: I would recommend this book only if a person is willing to commit themselves to reading a very long book without too many ups and downs. It is definitely a book more for the history buffs, but can be enjoyed by others. I read this mainly due to a book club to which I belong, but after finishing it I was glad I had read it.
