Summary: Hayley is not a skinny little bleach blonde, though that is who she is surrounded by. She has a mom who constantly chides her to watch her weight and the constant wish of being skinny and likable. She hates being the one with just the "pretty face." In an effort to help her, her parents send her away to Italy for the summer - just to visit family friends and live life. Here Hayley starts to understand herself a little more and might just even find her first real love.

Recommendation: It had some good points in it and the writing was good. There was some major sex at the end that I thought was overdone and didn't appreciate. It was good up till the point that the author made it seem the only way Hayley could love herself is if someone had sex with her. The whole book kind of flopped at that point. A nice chaste kiss would have been much more magical.
