Title: The Prince and the Pauper

Summary: A very poor boy named Tom has always wanted to see royalty, so he makes a journey to the palace. He has a miraculous run in with the prince who happens to look almost exactly like him. In a state of whimsy they decide to switch clothing, but when the prince leaves to chastise a guard, he is not
readmitted. Each boy is thrust into the life of the other and the adventures are told as they try to find adapt to their new situations.

Recommendation: I only read the abridged version, but I really enjoyed it. Most people know the basic story of the prince and the pauper (or they have seen a Disney version) but the actual story is quite interesting and it shows a lot about character. Mark Twain is definitely an excellent writer.
