Ptolemy's Gate

Title: The Bartimaeus Trilogy Book Three: Ptolemy's Gate

Author: Jonathan Stroud

Summary: In this book, Nathaniel, a young but powerful magician in London, once again unites with his djinni Bartimaeus, who is growing weaker by the day, and together they deal with unrest in their own country and beyond, as well as conflict between man and all demon-kind. Kitty also returns in this book in her quest to resolve the unfair enslavement of demons by magicians. They find a way to work together and Kitty discovers more than she ever dreamed of.

Recommendation: I would recommend this book only if one has read the first two in the trilogy. I liked the excitement in this plot more than the first two books and the ending was very fitting. Overall, a decent book that moved along quickly enough to hold one's interest.
