Summary: Brenda comes from a town where the only two things that matter are the logging industry and basketball. Things begin to change when Brenda's older brother, the star of the boys' team, dies in a car accident. Then the mill closes, bringing more changes to the town and her family. And then Brenda's
team gets a new coach, one who makes them recite poetry when they play. Brenda has to figure out where she fits and what she wants since nothing is the same anymore.

Recommendation: Yes. It's a good book about finding yourself. The elements of basketball and the small town losing its many source of income are interesting and believable.
