Basically, it tells you what you already know if you have read the other books in the series, with a few added details.

Recommendation: Not really. It was a bit of a disappointment. It fleshed out the story of Grassina and Haywood and how Grassina's mother fell under the curse. But all that was told in the other books. So, not too gripping.
