Title: The Snow Queen
Author: Mercedes Lackey
Summary: When Godmother Aleksia is accused of kidnapping young men, she realizes an impostor is ruining her good name. Godmothers usually affect events from behind the scenes, but this time she must become part of the adventure.
Recommendation: Yes. It was a good addition to the series. I'm not sure all of the ending had enough foundation to support it, but otherwise it was good.

Title: Snow Queen
Author: Mercedes Lackey
Summary: This is the newest book in the 500 kingdoms series. We have moved to a new 'fairy' godmother in this story who is also the Snow Queen, an interested double role. While finishing with one story line in the Tradition the snow queen finds out that some one in impersonating her and causing all kinds of trouble. She sets off to try and take down the imposter. Along with a number of companions she meets and defeats a couple of challenges.
Recommendation: My favorite of this series is still the very first one. I do enjoy the entire concept of the 500 kingdoms, as well as other Mercedes Lackey books, and will continue to read any new books in this series. However, this one lacked some of the humor that made the earlier books so much fun. I get the sense that this book was rushed and not allowed to develop as much as possible. Therefore I can recommend it as a fun read, but not as strongly as the earlier books of the series.
