Summary: Sword is on the run from the Wizard Lord. He must spend the winter in the unsurvivable Upland to be out of reach of the Dark Lord's magic. If he survives until the summer, he must try to kill the wizard, despite soldiers and the popular opinion of the people.

Recommendation: I liked it. It was a good conclusion to the series, and better than the 2nd book.
