Summary: Gemma is a shy girl who is facing a lot of upcoming drama in her life. Her sister, Debbie, is getting married and she is to be a flower girl. Also, Gemma suffers from severe stage fright but tries to get over it as she auditions for a play to get closer to a boy she likes. Unfortunately, a boy who likes her decides to try too and she gets stuck with him, for better or worse.
Recommendation: Yes. The book is a very fun coming-of-age story with a lot of humor. While what happens to Gemma is a bit extreme at times, I think everyone can relate.
