Summary: Biography of Abraham Lincoln. Focuses on he's political prowess and ability manage his cabinet. He intentionally filled his cabinet with his own rivals and men whom were thought to be more qualified than he to be president. An excellent read for anyone interested in Lincoln, the Civil War, US Presidents and politics.

Recommendation: Absolutely. I have learned so much about American history from reading this book. I now better understand Lincoln and his magnanimous character as well as the circumstances that lead to the Civil War.
