Title: Wild Boy, A Tale of Rowan Hood
Author: Nancy Springer
Summary: Rook, a member of Rowan's band of misfits, as known a different life then the one he's living now. He used to be a swineherd's son, and helped his dear father with the wild boars in the forest. That all changed when Rook's father was caught in a man trap, and died because of the Sheriff of Nottingham's unwillingness to help. Rook then became wild like a wolf, and had forever held a grudge against the Sheriff, vowing that he will make him pay. Well now he might have his chance. The Sheriff's son, Tod, has wandered into Sherwood Forest, and is caught in a man trap set by his very own father. Will Rook help him, or will he finally avenge his father's death? Read to find out!
Recommendation: I liked this Rowan Hood book very much, and would recommend it if you have enjoyed the series so far. In this Rowan Hood volume, along with the other ones in the series, has adventure and humor. Each one gets deeper into a certain character's mind, and I thought it was interesting to learn more about one of the more mysterious member's in Rowan's band.
