Summary: After finding a significant clue in the Yellow House, the boxcar children canoe and camp along Bear Trail in search the husband of their housekeeper who has been missing 40 years. They have many adventures along the way and discover surprising missing pieces to the mystery story.

Recommendation: I would recommend it. We read it aloud as a family, and even the younger children enjoyed both the adventures and the mystery.
